Configure Pop-Up Blockers
The most current versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox contain built in pop-up blockers. You will need to configure your browser to allow pop-ups from blackboard.purdue.edu since many features in Blackboard Vista use pop-ups. To make sure you have pop-ups allowed, follow the steps at the bottom of the page to manually check your pop-up settings.
Be aware there are other, pop-up blockers from third party vendors and Internet Service Providers. They are too numerous to document all of them but Vista provides a brief discussion of them.
Netscape
In Netscape when you log into Vista, you may see a pop-up window check telling you that Blackboard Vista takes advantage of pop-up windows.

You may also see an allow pop-ups icon in the lower right corner of the Netscape window that looks like an exclamation mark inside a yellow star.
