Uploading Multiple Files with Zip

To upload multiple files to the file manager:

  1. Create a ZIP file containing the files you would like to upload. Instructions for doing so can be found online.

    2. PKZip - http://www.its.ipfw.edu/training/howto/pkzip.shtml
  2. In Blackboard Vista, click the File Manager link from the Designer Tools menu.

  4. Click the Get Files button.

  6. Click the My Computer icon.

  8. Browse to the location of your file and double-click it.
  9. Click the ActionLinks icon next to the file name and select Extract.

  11. A new folder containing the contents of the ZIP file will be created and listed on the File Manager page. The folder will be named <ZIP file name>_folder; for example, if the ZIP file you upload was named myfiles.zip, the folder created by extracting the contents of myfiles.zip will be named myfiles_folder.
  12. Click on the name of the folder to access the files you have just uploaded.
  13. If you want to move the files out of the folder that was created, do so before making links to the files.
