Changing Course Icons

To get to the Course Content Icons area:

  1. From the Build tab, click the Manage Course link in the Designer Tools menu.

  2. Click Course Content Icons.

To change the entire icon set:

  1. Click Select New Icon Set

  2. Choose the icon set you want to use and click Select at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click Apply to confirm your changes.

To change the icon for a specific tool:

  1. From the Course Content Icons area, click the icon you want to change.
  2. Upload the image file you want to use as the new icon in the Get Files window. It is recommended your image be about 25 by 25 pixels (or less) and in gif or jpg format.
  3. All icons of that tool type will have your new icon.

To change the image for an individual icon:

  1. Navigate in your course to the icon in question. This can be an icon for a file, folder, discussion, assessment, etc.
  2. Click the drop down next to the icon and choose Customize Link.

  4. Upload the image file you want to use as the new icon in the Get Files window. It is recommended your image be about 25 by 25 pixels (or less) and in gif or jpg format.
  5. Click Save to confirm your changes.
